A Siamese is a valve used to allow two or more smaller lines to supply one larger line such as a LDH line. Siamese valves can be either clappered or gated. A clappered Siamese uses an internal clapper to prevent back-flow into a non-pressurized inlet in the apparatus. A gated design typically makes use of a ball valve which controls the water flow from both inlets independently.
