What will my shipping costs be?

Fire hose is heavy (but you already knew that!) so while standard website shipping estimators work pretty well for small to medium sized orders we may be able to get a better shipping price for you on large orders. Please call, fax or email us with large orders so that we can quote you an accurate and best shipping price.

How fast can I get my fire hose?

If we receive your order by noon eastern time and the hose is in stock we can often ship the same day. If the hose is not in stock then delivery times vary. Usually we can ship within a week to 10 days but some colors and/or sizes are only manufactured infrequently and wait times can be 4 weeks or more. We try to provide guidance on our product pages but if you need your hose by a certain date please call and check current delivery times.

FireHoseDirect has a variety of shipping options and depending on your location we may be able to get your new hose to you within 1 or 2 days without breaking the bank. If the distance is longer and you need the hose quickly we can provide express shipping. Cost in this case will vary widely depending on product size and weight. Just give us a call and we will try to find the best option for you.

I need a custom length fire hose. Can you make it?

Yes, we can provide you with virtually any custom length hose you require. Please see our Custom Fire Hose page for details and to order.

What kind of coupling do I need and how can I tell the thread type?

Please read carefully the product description to see what is "typical" for that hose type. Do not hesitate to ask your sales associate if you are unsure what you have. We can help you find out what you need. Often a coupling will be stamped with the thread type so look for initials such as "NH". If you need a particular coupling type or thread type not listed then just ask; we may be able to provide that coupling on your hose or an adapter. Why does it matter where the fire hose is made?

Well, there are of course many reasons but purely from a performance perspective USA Made fire hose is locally assembled, locally tested and locally guaranteed so it gives you peace of mind in addition to the benefits it provides to the communities you likely serve.

What colors are available?

White is standard for most woven polyester double and single jacket fire hose. Yellow, red, orange, blue, green, tan and black are also available. Depending on the manufacturer there may be an additional charge for color. We often can supply white, red and yellow quickly but other colors may require a longer delivery lead time. Colors vary for rubber covered fire hose, supply hose, forestry hose and specialty woven polyester hose so please check the product pages for details.

What is Piggybacking?

When you know you will be needing fire hose in the future call us and let us know. We can hold your order and combine it with other orders to qualify for free shipping or pricing discounts. You can also create your own piggyback by joining forces with nearby fire departments you know to place a joint order. We will bill and ship separately but give you the savings as if you placed a single order.

I need bids from 3 manufacturers; what can you do to help?

We represent several manufacturers and can provide you with bid quotes from at least 3 fire hose manufacturers. You make one phone call to FireHoseDirect and we do the rest.
